Overview

What does Technical Assistance Mean at NODe

 At NODe, Technical Assistance is more than training. It is a continuous partnership that builds knowledge, strengthens decision-making, and supports communities from project concept to completion. Our approach combines practical skills, local knowledge, and collaborative learning to ensure communities feel empowered throughout the journey.


This support helps communities:

  • Strengthen project design and planning
  • Improve financial and administrative management
  • Build organisational and governance capacity
  • Implement activities safely, efficiently, and transparently
  • Troubleshoot challenges during implementation
  • Capture and share lessons learned
     

Technical assistance is available to both applicants and active grantees, ensuring the right support at every stage.



Who Can Receive Technical Assistance?

Technical Assistance is available to:

  • Indigenous Village Councils and District Councils
  • Community-Based Organizations (CBOs)
  • Community-Based Enterprises (CBEs)
  • Non-Governmental Organizations 
  • Any community seeking to prepare for future Grant Opportunities.

You do not need to have an active grant to receive early-stage technical support

How to Access Technical Assistance?

Beneficiaries can receive TA in several ways:

  1. During grant application preparation
  2. After receiving a NODe grant
  3. Through scheduled community outreach activities
  4. By contacting the NODe team directly for support
     

A dedicated resource will work with you to understand your needs, develop a support plan, and connect you with the right resources.



Type Of Support We Provide?

NODe offers a wide range of tailored assistance, including:


  1. Project Development Support: Helping communities shape clear, realistic proposals including problem analysis, objectives, budgets, and implementation plans.
  2. Financial & Administrative Guidance: Supporting transparent financial systems, record keeping, procurement practices, and reporting structures that meet donor and community standards.
  3. Training & Capacity Building: Conducting workshops, one-on-one coaching, and community-based sessions covering project management, financial literacy, monitoring and evaluation, and leadership skills.
  4. Implementation Support: Assisting grantees in launching, managing, and adjusting their projects to stay on track with milestones, budgets, and timelines.
  5. Monitoring, Learning & Problem-Solving: Supporting data collection, reporting, risk management, and reflection—helping communities learn from their experiences and strengthen future projects.
  6. Specialist Technical Expertise: Providing or facilitating access to experts in areas such as agriculture, forestry, conservation, enterprise development, or environmental management based on project needs.
