Proposed Structure
Nature's Opportunity for Development (NODe) currently operates as a pilot with CI Guyana, serving as a dual-arm mechanism with both a funding arm and technical assistance arm.
During this pilot, NODe is testing its operational structures to ensure long-term sustainability.
Once incorporated, NODe is intended to transition into a fully independent, IPLCs-led entity, designed to strengthen community-driven development and access to finance across Guyana.

The Board of Directors is NODe’s highest decision-making body. It provides strategic oversight, approves key policies and funding decisions, and ensures the organisation remains accountable, well-governed, and aligned with its mission.

The Advisory Committee provides technical advice and strategic guidance to strengthen NODe’s programmes. While it does not make final decisions, the Committee brings expert knowledge to help ensure NODe’s work is relevant, effective, and grounded in community and conservation priorities.

The Secretariat carries out NODe’s day-to-day activities. Made up of dedicated staff, it works closely with communities and partners to implement programmes, manage grants and technical assistance, and turn NODe’s mission into action.
